EPS foam packaging, in simple terms is made of foam packaging. The so-called foam packaging, mainly refers to the expandable polystyrene (EPS) through the mold thermal processing of packaging products, commonly known as "foam". Expandable polystyrene is an ideal packaging material, which is produced by molding process. It can be processed into packaging products of various shapes and thicknesses as required. Under high load conditions, the material can achieve the function of buffering and damping through deformation, energy absorption and energy decomposition, and at the same time has the function of heat preservation and heat insulation. EPS foam packaging products are generally white, and the color can be produced according to requirements.

1. Light weight. Part of the space of EPS foam packaging products is replaced by gas, which contains 3-6 million independent closed bubbles per cubic decimeter. So several to dozens of times larger than plastic.
2. It has the ability to absorb impact load. When EPS foam packaging products are subjected to impact load, the gas in the bubble will consume and dissipate the external energy through stagnation and compression, and the bubble will gradually terminate the impact load with a small negative acceleration, so it has a good shockproof effect.
3. Anti-static performance. Ordinary packaging is easy to self-electrification in friction and will not affect the products of ordinary users. For high-precision electronic products, especially the large integrated block structural parts of modern electrical appliances, EPS foam packaging products with low conductivity should have antistatic properties, so they are widely used in the packaging of high-precision electronic products.
4. Sound insulation performance is good. EPS foam packaging mainly through two ways, one is to absorb sound energy, reduce reflection and transmission.
5. Anti-aging and corrosion resistance. Except for long-term exposure to high-energy radiation, the product has no obvious aging phenomenon. Resistant to a variety of chemicals, such as dilute acid, dilute alkali, methanol, lime, asphalt, etc.
6.EPS foam packaging good thermal insulation performance. The thermal conductivity is the weighted average of the pure EPS thermal conductivity (108cal/m.h.℃) and the air thermal conductivity (90cal/m.h.℃).
